Finally, the Government of India and the tablet manufacturer Datawind have jointly announced the launch of Aakash tablet.

With the official launch, the Aakash tablet has become the world’s cheapest tablet PC with a price as low as $35. The students of India, especially the economically backward section of the students is going to get this tablet for $35, as the government subsidizes some amount.
The commercial variant of this tablet, which will be available for the normal public from November, is priced around $50, which isn’t a bad deal at all!
